UV 50+ indicates maximum protection against ultraviolet
rays (sunlight). UV indicates how much sunlight is absorbed by
the fabric. A fabric with a protection factor
50+ allows only 1/50th of the UV rays to pass through the fabric.
The colorfastness therefore lasts 50 times longer than with conventional
fabrics.
